Sri Gnanananda Niketan Brindavan
The necessity for providing a suitable final resting place for Sannyasins was keenly felt. Land by the side of the Samadhis of Sannyasins of Thapovanam, was purchased and is being developed as a Brindavan. After the purchase of this land, Swami Satyananda Giri, a disciple initiated by Swami Vidyananda Giri attained Mahasamadhi on 31st March 2015. His body was interned at the new Brindavan site.
The whole site has now been compounded and additional lands were purchased to provide access from the by-pass connecting Tirukovilur and Tiruvannamalai. Few devotees of Niketan have purchased land opposite to this Brindavan site to provide security and to ensure preservation of the sanctity of this place.
A separate corpus for the maintenance of the Brindavan is constituted.
